Reception of the BM Turkiye dental clinic in Istanbul

Travelling for dental treatment raises practical questions before medical ones. Which airport? Where do I stay? Who meets me? What happens if I have a question after I fly home?

This guide puts the whole journey in order, from your first message to the aftercare at home, so you can plan your trip step by step.

Step 1: Send your case for a free consultation

Start by sending us your photos, any X-rays you have and a short medical history — on WhatsApp or through the contact form. Having this information before you travel helps the doctor plan your treatment accurately.

During working hours — Monday to Saturday, 10:00–18:30 Istanbul time — we reply within 15 minutes. A doctor reviews your case and tells you which treatment suits you.

Step 2: Receive your written plan and price

You receive your treatment plan and its price in writing within 6 hours. The plan states the treatment, the number of visits and how long each stay will be.

This matters for your trip: the length of your stay depends on the treatment. As a guide, from our treatment pages:

Your written plan is what counts, so wait for it before booking your flights. Prices for every treatment are on our prices page.

Step 3: Book your flights — and check the practical points

Istanbul has two international airports. The drive to the clinic takes about 30–60 minutes from Istanbul Airport and 40–70 minutes from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, depending on traffic. Either works — your coordinator arranges the transfer from both.

Before you book, check two things:

  • Visa: whether you need one depends on your nationality. Use only the official Turkish e-visa website.
  • Insurance: standard travel insurance often does not cover planned treatment abroad. Read your policy wording carefully.

You will find more on these points on our international guests page.

Step 4: Arrival and your coordinator

When you land, your airport transfer is waiting. Your coordinator, Melis, stays in touch with you on WhatsApp from arrival to departure: appointment times, transfers and any question in between.

Our team speaks 8+ languages, so you can talk about your treatment in your own language.

Step 5: Where to stay

If you need accommodation, we work with partner hotels in Istanbul:

  • Mercure Istanbul
  • Pullman Istanbul
  • The Nirvanas
  • Grand S

Tell your coordinator your preference when you confirm your plan.

Step 6: At the clinic

The clinic is in Bahçelievler, Istanbul. It has 8 treatment chairs over 500 m², with an intraoral scanner, CBCT imaging and an in-house laboratory. There are accessible facilities for patients with special needs, including the bathroom and getting around the clinic. You can see more on our facilities page.

On your first day the doctor examines you and confirms the final plan. If you are anxious about treatment, read about how we keep you comfortable on our comfort care page.

Step 7: Going home and aftercare

Before you leave, you receive the care instructions for your treatment. Each treatment also has its own patient guide, with what to expect before, during and after — see all our patient guides.

After you fly home, our aftercare team stays available on WhatsApp 24/7: +90 552 800 60 00. If something does not feel right, send the team a message — you do not have to wait until your next visit. More on this is on our after treatment page.
